The Mason, The World's First Patent-Pending Tennis Utility Jacket
The Mason Jacket, the world’s first-ever tennis utility jacket, equipped with seven incredibly distinctive features, designed to make tennis workouts and traveling with a racquet easier, is expected to launch September 3, 2019.
The Mason Jacket is created by tennis athletes for tennis athletes. Designed to solve tennis related needs, this one-of-a-kind jacket is made to be stylish, lightweight and comfortable, and it sports unique features such as a racquet holder, fashionably designed on the back, to hold a single racquet comfortably and securely. This racquet holder, ideal for tennis players desiring to reduce equipment load, and recreational play, also doubles as a stylish pocket or overlay without a racquet.
“There’s no need to feel loaded down when traveling to the courts,” says Ahlilah Longmire, Founder, and CEO of Ascot Manor, the first socially conscious tennis apparel brand behind the Mason Jacket. The Mason was created by Longmire and partner, Executive Designer, Kareen Borgella, who has a 20-year technical design background. Her long list of credits includes J.Crew, Armani Exchange, and Ralph Lauren. “We’ve created the most versatile and durable tennis jacket, specifically with tennis players in mind.”
“It has a hidden pocket that holds up to 2 tennis balls, and there’s also a smart device holder. We wanted to create a jacket that allows players to travel effortlessly with everything they need for a day on the court,” Borgella states.
Engineered from a scientific and practical standpoint, The Mason’s lightweight material is also water repellent with pro-mesh fabric ventilation and includes a reflective stripe that looks like a subtle style accent during the day while reflecting its visibility only at night to support high-performance durability and mobility.
The Mason is just one piece of a 24-piece collection in the Inaugural Founders Collection, set to give players performance wear, tennis-leisure, timeless classics, and accessories. Funds raised from the campaign will help to not only bring The Mason to production but the full Founders Collection.
As much as the Mason is a utility jacket for the active tennis player, it is a statement of social impact, sustainability, and style. Because tennis is played internationally, Ascot Manor’s goal is to advance junior players worldwide who display superior skills but are socioeconomically under-resourced. Therefore, Ascot Manor’s business model is to re-invest a portion of sales into their community initiative “Lower The Net” to aid in the sponsorship of competitive junior players.
In support of Ascot Manor’s Indiegogo campaign, their pre-launch will include Warm-up Essentials that you can purchase individually on their website or as perks and packaged rewards with The Mason jacket on Indiegogo.
