Our Favorite Tennis Athletes Make Strides Off The Court And To The Red Carpet

Emma Raducanu makes an appearance at the Met Gala last night, just days after winning the US Open. Her achievements were mot definitely noticed, as many celebrities and public figures congratulated her on the carpet for her accomplishment. For example, the royal family and the Dutches of Cambridge introduced themselves to Raducan and praised her for being such a young inspiration to women across the globe.
Raducan arrives at her first-ever Met Gala in a stunning pearl-embellished three-piece set custom by Chanel styled by Virginie Viard. She continues the look with matching pearl earrings and pointed patented leather boots.
Winning the Us Open was truly the perfect accessory for last night's theme.
This was surely not her first Met Gala, and certainly not her last! From co-hosting in 2019 with her iconic sneaker debut to her opulent pink look, Serena Williams always comes in color.


Alessandro Michele put together this is pronounced moment, complete with a custom Gucci lace corseted bodysuit embroidered with rhinestones and sequin stars, lace gloves and silver patented sandals and accompanied the look with an ombre ostrich feather cape. It's always a pleasure to see Williams off the court and enjoying herself in glamour!

One of the most compelling looks of the entire night comes from the renowned champion and co-host of the Met Gala event itself, Naomi Osaka.
Like many other individuals, Osaka used the American theme as an opportunity to celebrate her roots and heritage, paying homage to Japanese culture within her ensemble.
Oska is seen wearing a beautiful jacquard dress filled with details of koi fish, corseted with red silk tied and eighteen ruffled cape that drapes effortlessly to the carpet itself.
In interviews, Oska mentions the importance of her biracial heritage in America and how culture should be celebrated as differences. She also notes that her sister Mari Oska and Nicolas Ghesquière’s hand drawn her designs for a custom fit to be created by Louis Vitton.
These three notorious tennis athletes and fashion stars hit the red carpet together, while immulating class and opulence on the red carpet. A truly iconic moment to appreciate their achievements on and off the court.
The olympian star Maria Sharapova was destined to make an appearance at the Met Gala and did so by wear all upcycled materials by the fabulous Gabriela Hearst - Creative director of Chloe accompanied in her Stuart Weitzman shoes.
Venus Williams then shows up in a red peplum detailed draped gown, created and styled by the Chinese American designer Prabal Gurung.

Last but not least we can't forget our Canadian friends and athletes, Lehya Fernandez and Felix Agur Aliassime - both making their first-ever appearances at the Met Gala, the biggest fashion night out in history. We see these two making strides as Fernandez glides across the carpet in a remarkable black and white striped dress by Carolina Ferreah, noting a tribute to her favorite players of all time- Serena and Venus Williams. Aliassime seems to match the theme of Fernadez perfectly, opting for a fitted white tux accompanied by his stunning partner Nina Ghaibi.
