Sabrina Santamaria
WTA PRO, NCAA Doubles Champion Becomes Ascot Manor's Newest Ambassador
We are pleased to announce that Sabrina Santamaria will be #teamascotmanor representing Ascot Manor on-and-off the court as our newest Ambassador. As an ambitious and driven woman of color, we are more than honored to be able to share Sabrina's story and represent her along her tennis journey.

Santamaria's parents had both taken the journey to come to the United States, her father dating back from Panama, and her mother the Philippines. Ironically, meeting each other at a public tennis court forging the path for Santamaria's destiny as a professional tennis player.
Since the age of five, Sabrina had her hands on a tennis racket. She mentions one of her earliest memories, "There was a tennis ball that my father hung in the living room of our apartment. I would endlessly whack the ball back and forth for hours while trying to mimic Serna Williams stroke on the T.V. in the background"
The California native decided to stay close by, graduating from the University of Sothern California, where her career soon took off. Since, Santamaria is a five-time All American, 2013 World University Games Silver Medalist, and 2013 NCAA Doubles Champion, with a WTA all-time highest ranking in women's doubles of #53.

Join us this Friday as we watch the Indian Well's tournament with Sabrina Santamaria and partner Makoto Ninomiya, playing against Flipken and Sorribes Tormo. Updates on their match can be found courtesy of the Tennis Channel.
