Spring Favorites At The Manor

Spring is in the air! As we await all of the April showers and May flowers to come, we thought we would share with our readers some of our spring favorites here at the manor.
Whether we’re hosting a spring gathering, a relaxed dinner party, or just cooking for the family, we always love finding new recipes to add some variety to our weekly meal rotations. Because the weather is warming up, we’re aiming to keep our meals lighter, healthier, and abundant in fresh fruits and vegetables for our athletes. Here are two dishes we’ve been loving here at the manor this spring.
Green Tea Noodles With Spring Chicken
Sticky Sweet Chili Salmon Sauté
Now for all of our vegan and vegetarian readers, don’t worry! We didn’t forget about you! These plant-based dinner recipes are not only simple to make, but they’re also incredibly healthy and packed with flavor.
Lemon Arugula Salad Roasted Cauliflower
With Crispy Shallot Tacos
Although we like to maintain a clean, healthy diet, there is nothing wrong with treating ourselves every now and then. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, we recommend trying one of these delicious desserts!
Roasted Strawberry Coconut Cream
Banana Bread Pie
If you ask us, there are few better ways to spend your day than relaxing outside in the fresh air, sharing some drinks with the people you love most. As with our meals, we have been opting for lighter, more refreshing cocktails so far this spring. We’ve especially been loving those with floral and/or fruity flavor profiles.
Green Tea Sangria Old Cuban
For those who prefer wine, we recommend a chenin blanc from Nicolas Joly Clos de la Coulée de Serrant. From the Loire Valley region of central France, this full-bodied, spice-infused white wine encompasses notes of almond, quince, ginger, and persimmon.
If you’d rather opt an alcohol-free beverage, might we interest you in these refreshing mocktails?
Avocado Margarita Blackberry Kombucha Mule
With all of the beautiful sunny days that come with spring, we are bound to see plenty of rainy ones too. What better way to spend a rainy day than curled up on the couch embarking on a movie marathon?

Rescued By Ruby
If you’re in the mood for a family-friendly, feel-good film, Rescued by Ruby is the perfect choice. Based on a true story, this Netflix original drama tells the story of Daniel O’Neil, a Rhode Island State Trooper who dreams of joining the K-9 Search & Rescue team but has failed multiple times to qualify. Similarly, Ruby, a hyperactive shelter dog dreams of finding a forever home but has been deemed unadoptable due to her difficult temperament and is therefore scheduled to be put down. In an act of fate, Daniel and Ruby are brought together; he adopts her and trains her to join the ranks of the Rhode Island State Police dogs.
Besides lots of snacks and great company, every movie night requires a comfortable blanket to cuddle beneath. Luckily, Ascot Manor Home has you covered with these throw blankets.
After the April showers have subsided, it's time to step outside and enjoy the wonderful spring weather. From dresses to joggers to t-shirts, windbreakers, and tanks, Ascot Manor has everything you need for any and all outdoor activities.
