Let's begin by choosing linens! We find this to be the most helpful place to get started by setting a mood and a theme for your setting. It allows the host to add in personal touches of color, minute details in their taste to make an overall difference in the dining experience. For example, if we aim for clean natural-toned linens it allows for more room to be playful in colors elsewhere, or vise versa. This portion of the process can truly allow the entire ensemble to feel much more cohesive and elegant while continuing to add essentials.
After we gather the foundations of our color pallet, we can take our next step into the design process and add in greenery! This is personally our favorite part here at the Manor because your foliage tends to become the focal point of the evening and a conversation piece at the table. If you are unsure what may be the best for an event, it is always safe to go with a seasonal harvest. For example, for fall we enjoy flowers with rich warm hues and ethereal berries to layer in colors to incorporate the season. Also, this is such an amazing opportunity to add in colorful glassware and add those delicate touches of color to truly embody the holiday spirit!
Finally, add the final essentials to the table! Nothing will help impress your guests more than a formal table setting and more importantly show your guests how much you truly care! Silverware is essential but the placement is what can make all the difference. Once we have this portion down we can start etiquette, and don't forget to begin from the left!
